A Seagull’s View

Higher up than the seagulls were flying, this is the view from the top of Blackpool Tower.  The viewing platform near the top allows amazing views out over the sea.

I find the sea to be an overwhelmingly beautiful part of nature.  I could watch waves crashing on a shoreline for eternity.  And as for the sound, it just has to be one of the most relaxing of all (next to steady rain, of course!)

But I never fail to remember just how dangerous the sea can be.  Not just because of the creatures who call it home, but because of the awesome force of water, the sheer weight of it and its ruthless need to continually erode the very earth we call home.

Beautiful and scary at the same time but awesome in the true sense of the word all the time.

    • Thank you for your kind comments. From up there I actually had a view of the seagulls as they didn’t seem to be flying quite that high on that particular day. It’s an incredible view 🙂
